Bay leaf tea is a great inflammation fighter. It can be especially helpful if you have indulged in foods known to be inflammatory. If you suffer from chronic pain, the investment in a plant is worth the cost of $10-$12.
To make bay leaf tea take a handful of organic bay leaves, fresh or dried, add boiling water and steep for 15-20 minutes. For a more potent tea, crush leaves before adding water or boil leaves for 15-20 minutes. Add a healthy sweetener, like stevia, and serve. Bay leaves can be used in cooking fresh or dried. Burning dried leaves will fill the room with a relaxing, organic fragrance. The debate over cinnamon, which is usually Ceylon vs. Saigon, can be confusing. The benefits are the same and your body loves both. Use it for inflammation, fighting cancer, balancing blood sugar and controlling candida. The two most popular varieties of cinnamon are Ceylon cinnamon and Saigon cinnamon. The cost of Ceylon cinnamon is about twice what you will pay for Saigon cinnamon. They are both healing. They are both antimicrobials antioxidants that are inflammation fighters, cancer deterrents and will balance blood sugar while assist the body in a number of ways. It is agreed that "true" cinnamon is that which comes from the bark of the cinnamomum zeylanicum tree. It has a more mild flavor, a lighter color and is sold as Ceylon cinnamon. This is not the most common variety. Saigon cinnamon is actually from the cinnamomum cassia plant and is also called cassia or Chinese cinnamon. It is a darker color with more intense flavor. This is the cinnamon that is most familiar and most popular due to price. The debate takes shape over coumarin, which is a natural blood thinner that is present in Saigon cinnamon. If one was taking pharmaceutical blood thinners they might be instructed to eliminate cinnamon from their diet. In reality, they might need to eliminate Saigon cinnamon and could most likely use Ceylon cinnamon which does not have the blood thinning property.
Chronic illness takes on many forms. It has strange symptoms that are in constant motion and forever changing. The symptoms are so illusive that most people just don't believe a chronically ill person is anything more than depressed.
To make matters worse, it is almost impossible to get an exact diagnosis. The chronically ill are tossed into categories like fibromyalgia and the true cause of issues are rarely sought out by traditional medicine. I have 30 years of experience being chronically ill and am curing myself from mercury poisoning, heavy metals toxicity, chronic pain, thyroid issues, candida and leaky gut. It was not an easy road to travel and there were more setbacks than I care to remember, but I have learned a thing or two about what makes my body tick. There some essential things a sick person must do. The first of these would be to access their diet and clean it up. Getting the sugar and white flour is a must if you seek wellness. The next thing I would do is assess the gut. I would recommend candida testing at home with the simple test you can find on this site at http://www.searchforthecausenotjustthecure.com/blog/candida-testing-at-home. Keeping the gut happy will clear up bowel issues, fungal infections and prevent leaky gut from developing. It can also be the source of inflammation, brain fog, fatigue, pain and many other symptoms. Next I would look to the mouth. Any mouth infection, even if it just manifests as a slight gum tenderness, can cause you all of the symptoms you recognize as chronic fatigue. If you are storing mercury in your teeth, via silver fillings, these fillings must be removed by a biologic dentist. A serious look at dental implants and root canals must also be assessed as they can harbor bacteria. The symptoms may not feel like mouth pain, but can cause the symptoms you recognize with chronic pain. A gut and mouth that are unhappy are enough to cause decades of illness that is mysterious, continuous, debilitating and probably misdiagnosed. Most people are reticent to look into the gut or dental issues because traditional medicine ignores them. This means stepping outside the box and possibly accepting ridicule while going against your doctor's advice. The unfortunate truth is that most Western doctors have no idea how to heal a gut issue or how to deal with mercury toxicity. Instead they find themselves more comfortable diagnosing problems as popular, "designer" diseases that have an accompanying line of pharmaceuticals. These drugs will mask the symptoms and trick your body into testing more appropriately, but they do not cure chronic illness. If you take on these drugs instead of searching for the cause, you may never get well. This short video on mercury will give you an idea of how similar the symptoms of your chronic pain and fatigue are aligned with mercury poisoning. One might say no to investigating mercury as a source of their problems believing they have fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus or another disease. What you will see in the film is that ALL THE SYMPTOMS ARE THE SAME! It makes no sense not to investigate the possibility of metals as your source of illness when they provide such similar symptoms.

This is a dental implant. Although this particular implant is a peculiar design, more common types have wide-spread use. What is not usually known about dental implants is that they have the ability to harbor bacteria which can cause symptoms of illness. When bacteria causes infection, the trouble these diseased implants cause is rarely associated with the implant. A diagnosis that does not connect the dots between symptoms and the infection provides a misdiagnosis, allowing the source of the infection to continue. Warning signs of implant trouble can be non-existant, slight or obvious. You might only notice a sensitivity or a change in the pink color near the gum line of the tooth. It may be the kind of distraction or pain that you can live with easily and do nothing about for a very long time. As usual, pain is the voice of your body. It always has a source. When you search for the cause of illness, consider your teeth, dental implants, silver fillings and root canals as potential sources. This implant caused a low-grade irritation that seemed meaningless in comparison to other physical complaints that were not seemingly associated with the tooth. There was joint pain with constant inflammation plus a debilitating pain in the hip that made daily movement limited. The decision to manage the tooth was secondary to what were considered more demanding issues in the body. When the tooth was finally identified as a potential problem, there was no absolute certainty. The decision to remove it came with no guarantee that it was the source of the tender gum or the signs of minor infection and dull pain. In the end, after removal, the tooth was able to be identified as the connection to most of the issues. Within 24 hours of removal the body began to heal. The changes were dramatic. The hip pain was gone by morning, never to return. The infection, which was obvious after removal, began to dissipate. Vitality and strength returned to a body that had been depleted by this on-going, low-grade infection. The mouth is rarely considered in times of illness. We tend to treat symptoms and never search for the cause of pain. Once symptoms are put in check with drugs, we usually move on without having addressed the true issue. Meanwhile the source remains active. When you search for the cause of long-term illness, chronic fatigue, inflammation, chronic pain, lethargy, join pain, anxiety, cognative disorders, ADHD, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and more, consider the mouth and dental health. To be treated correctly and to receive the most current protocol, which will conflict with the American Dental Association's view at times, you will need a biologic dentist. For sources of biologic dentists visit www.IAOMT.org. Note: If you have "silver" fillings, which are more appropriately known as, mercury amalgam fillings, please learn more about them on this site at: http://www.searchforthecausenotjustthecure.com/strike-out-mercury-information-and-registration-form.html
Almost anyone can come home from a traditional doctor with the diagnosis of fibromyalgia. The criteria is rather flimsy. Even the Mayo Clinic has a weak explanation of the condition, claiming fibromyalgia is a condition with a variety of symptoms that are incurable. If that is not acceptable to you, use caution before you accept the diagnosis. Buying into a condition that cannot be cured is a life sentence.
I believe what is more truthful is that the diagnosis of fibromyalgia is a dumping ground by the medical profession for people who complain of a variety of aches, pains and symptoms that seem unfounded or random. Although all who have fibromyalgic-like pain have similarities, our sources of pain vary. Instead of searching for the cause of our issues, we are categorized into the designer condition called "fibromyalgia" and offered drugs to mitigate symptoms, but we are never expected to be cured.
If you have fibromyalgic-like pain, your pain is real. The diagnosis, in my opinion, is not. I believe a bit more effort should be included in the diagnosis.
Pain is the only voice your body has and there is always a reason for it. Finding its source is not easy, especially when a trusted medical community is satisfied to medicate you for a lifetime and categorize you as hopeless. If you are to find wellness, you must resist the diagnosis of fibromyalgia as anything more than a description of your pain. Next, begin a concentrated search for the source of your particular pain and look more deeply for the root cause or causes, knowing that the weakened body can manifest pain from more than one source. What is common for chronic, fibromyalgia-like pain is the sensitivity to toxic substances and sugars. Sugar exacerbates pain, no matter the original source of pain. Most all painful bodies respond to lifestyle changes that clean up the body. There are a few things every painful body should investigate to begin their search for the cause of symptoms if wellness is the goal. You may find you have some or all of these potential contributors or, your cause might be completely different. #1. If you have silver, metal amalgam fillings in your mouth you are living with mercury toxicity. It may take years to manifest but, at some point, metals toxicity will create pain and symptoms that are often given the diagnosis of fibromyalgia. You need to be tested for metals poisoning, being aware you cannot rely on a blood test for accuracy. You will need a medical professional who understands metals and this is not likely going to be a typical, Western medical practitioner. #2. Candida overgrowth symptoms are also very closely aligned with the symptoms of fibromyalgia. If you have candida overgrowth, a gut bacteria, you will need to make several lifestyle changes as it cannot be solved by a pill. Sugar and flours, which are the favorite diet of candida, will inflame the body while candida thrives on them. You will need a medical professional who understand how to cure candida or you can easily do the research to solve it yourself without products or pills. Candida overgrowth responds to a healthy diet and probiotics. #3. Leaky Gut Syndrome is an offshoot of candida overgrowth and is actually caused when the intestinal wall becomes permeated by severe candida. Once the intestinal wall becomes compromised, foods being digested fall through the intestinesl and leak into the bloodstream, causing guess what? Yes, symptoms that are again exactly like those of fibromyalgia. #4. Glutathione is manufactured by the body. It is the master detoxifier of your body. If you are sick or in pain, production is less than adequate to manage normal, daily detoxification needs causing...yes, symptoms just like fibromyalgia. What is important about these four simple possibilities as potential sources of fibromyalgia-like pain is that they each affect about a third of the population. It is incredible that a doctor would consider labelling a patient with fibromyalgia and medicate them without knowing if any of these four very common conditions are at play. Your source of pain might not include any of these conditions and the possibilities are infinite. What is sure, however, is that if you medicate the pain without finding the source, wellness will not be yours. If you walk into your doctor's office and quote this information, it will likely be discounted in favor of drugs. Your own research will be infinitely more important. Your pain is real. It has a source that is screaming for attention. Find it and be well. I have just taken a great bashing on a chronic pain site for saying I don't believe in living on pain drugs. People went on attack saying I knew nothing about pain and that without drugs they would have no life. I do know something about pain. We have an intimate relationship that has lasted decades. What I know is that when drugged, my body will perform many more tasks then it would without drugs. It feels good to be more active but that overextension causes increased pain and allows pain cycles to have a firmer grasp. I know that allowing pain to take up residency is dangerous. Pain drains the body and forces its systems to become burdened. Eventually these systems break down, causing secondary issues and illnesses that complicate life. Learning about pain takes experiencing it. If you are always medicated, it is impossible to experience anything. I believe pain is the voice of your body and has something to say. My choice is to listen and find out what it wants from me. Usually it wants the same old things. That means the right kinds of rest, exercise, nutrients and a diet that is clean and free of sugar, flour and chemicals. It also asks that I cut my toxicity down to minimal exposure every day. I offer it remedies in the form of essential oils, vitamins, minerals and foods that heal. For the most part, living clean has become easy. There are days, though, that I just don't feel like giving my body exactly what it needs. There are days when I think we can manage some sugar and a few toxins. There are days when I just want to behave like everyone else and if I do, I pay the price. In some ways, I think chronic pain people are the lucky ones. When they finally find wellness, they understand how the body works and what it needs. They have the ability and knowledge to treat it right and nurture it. It seems they have a jump on learning to live through old age without illness and have the potential to die healthy. That is the goal. In 2009 the World Health Organization called for the phasing out of mercury in amalgam dental fillings. It is 2016 and the practice of poisoning human beings through dental work continues. The symptoms of mercury poisoning are closely aligned with those of fibromyalgia, yet those dots are rarely connected. It is just my opinion, but I believe that a huge part of chronic illness, chronic pain, signs of aging and disease are actually toxicity in the body. Toxicity is overlooked by Western medicine and is rarely considered when illness strikes. Those conditions that have accompanying pharmaceuticals don't get further investigation. There is no search for the cause if there is a pharmaceutical available. This is a great disservice to those who seek wellness. I look forward to the day when testing for heavy metals and other toxicity is the first thing a doctor considers instead of the last. That will be a time when people are again convinced that wellness comes naturally from the earth. It will be a time when people will demand cleaner living conditions that respect the earth and all living creatures. |
