Probiotic Dressing

Why Probiotic Dressing?

Probiotics will  help you grow the good bacteria your gut needs to be healthy.  Having them throughout the day is one of the best ways to treat candida, leaky gut and the issues they cause.

Don’t take following this recipe too seriously.  The variations are endless and every part of the contents suggested are quality additions to your diet.

The fermented foods will keep your gut balanced and grow the good bacterial you need for health.  The herbs and spices all add value.  Be creative and adjust this to your needs.

If you do not use products with live cultures, you are defeating the purpose.  Substituting heat processed, vegetable oils will aid  candida growth and cause inflammation.

The use of citrus seems counter to the goal of reducing the acidic body and thereby fighting candida, but it works differently in the body.  Although naturally acidic, citrus alkalizes the gut internally.

Probiotic Dressing

Use equal parts:
Yogurt, with live cultures
Vinegar, raw with live cultures

Oil, cold pressed olive, avocado or nut oils

Flavor with 4 or 5 of the follow items to taste:
Lemon or Lime, which can replace all or part of the raw vinegar
Lemon or Lime zest, from pesticide free fruit
Turmeric, to reduce inflammation
Miso, a fermented probiotic and flavoring source from beans

Garlic, to boost immunity
Ginger, to reduce inflammation
Salt, from the sea or a good mineral source
Pepper
Herbs, fresh or dry
Spices
Honey or Stevia to sweeten

Mix in a glass jar and shake.  The dressing can be used on salad, vegetables or meats and will last for a few weeks.

Milk

There is a lot of childhood connected to milk.  Mother's thought it was the most loving, healthful thing they could offer us and with the help of the dairy industry they were sold.  We know more now, but old habits are difficult to change.  We continue the practice of putting milk on the table and recoil at the thought of rice, almond or coconut milk as replacements, but the time to change is here.

There is no more pretending that milk benefits are controversial.  They are not.  It just is not good for you.

The video explains why milk fuels disease and creates the perfect environment for poor gut health.   Additionally,  the increased use of anti-biotics and hormones in milk producing animals makes it dangerous.   Milk is an inflammatory sugar to the body which is responsible for candida, sinus conditions, ear aches, acne and disease.  You now have a    handful of reasons to change your habits.  Remember that your dependency on milk was manufactured by the industry that markets it to you and your mom before you.

Taking Charge of Candida

Candida is the bacteria of the gut we call the “bad” bacteria, even though we need it.  It easily falls out of balance with the good bacteria because of the typical diet most of us find convenient.  If candida had a personality, I would call it persistent, stubborn, relentless, clever and opportunistic.  It is all of those things.

Candida is always ready to take control of the gut.  If you fall off  your mission to stay balanced, it is waiting in the wings to take charge again.  It can become resistant to probiotics that are used to fight it and will do whatever it must to flourish.

In my experience with candida there were many setbacks.  I became tolerant of the symptoms and accepted the constant battle as part of life.  It is not.  What I was doing wrong was caused by being tolerant and believing that small steps would accomplish the goal.  When I became clever, stubborn and persistent things changed.

First of all, cutting down on the bad foods like sugar, white flour, heat processed oils, glutenous grains and dairy was not good enough.  I needed to stop them.  My diet shifted to primarily meat and vegetables with limited, low sugar fruits.  Rice and potatoes with skins (the flesh is acidic and the skins are alkaline) were limited and some off beat grains without gluten, like quinoa, worked well.

The next awakening was that my morning probiotic capsule was not enough to combat candida all day.  Also, I had not realized that candida can become resistant to probiotics and that changing them regularly was important.  In looking for true weaponry, I added fermented food to grow good bacteria throughout the day.  That was the game changer.

When fermented foods were incorporated into the diet, all things changed.  This meant some weird stuff was going to have to be part of life.  Probiotic yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchi, miso, kombucha and raw vinegar were added throughout the day.  A salad dressing of miso and raw vinegar and oil became salad dressing while yogurt was the basis of smoothies and sauces.

The change in gut health and symptoms seemed miraculous.  It was not.  It was simply removing the food source that allowed candida to overgrow while feeding the good bacteria.  The result:  A gut that functions happily without bowel issues, stomach pain, nail fungus, yeast infections, lethargy, joint pain, headaches, brain fog, weight gain and many other symptoms.

In the end, my body became more agreeable to losing weight and moving without pain.  I learned that if I want to eat something from the list of acidic foods I needed to balance it with probiotics and alkaline foods to stay in charge of my wellness.

Understanding Acid vs. Alkalinity

2/27/2017

  • Your body is constantly adjusting for the
  •     acidity and alkalinity of the gut.
  • When  you eat primarily acidic foods,
  •              as in a high sugar diet,
  • you cause your body a load of extra work
                and invite disease.

Picture
Acid in your body creates an environment that encourages disease and feeds the culprits that cause it.  An alkaline body discourages disease because diseased cells cannot live comfortably in an alkaline environment.  Every bite you eat is either feeding disease or fighting it.

When people say “sugar feeds cancer,” they are saying that sugar is acidic and cancer cells grow heartily on sugar.  When cancer cells are fed an alkaline diet they become suppressed and unable to grow.  If you are eating a typical, modern diet you are in jeopardy of being acidic and inviting disease to settle down in the comfort of your sugar laden body.

The way to improve your acidity is to eat the foods that balance you naturally and move you to alkalinity.  The concept is fairly simple.  Cut the sugar and white flour while you increase the vegetables.

You can test your progress easily with pH strips held in your urine flow.  The package will provide a color chart that will easily show you how you are doing in your quest to become more balanced.  Don’t expect change instantly.  It takes time to change the pH levels in your body.

Having a neutral pH of 7 will tell you that your gut is in pretty good shape.  If you are in lower numbers you run the risk of living with an imbalance of candida which brings with it a whole set of symptoms and a variety of problems.

Candida is what we call the “bad” bacteria in the gut.  The truth is that you need both good and bad bacteria, but when it is overgrown and in control it is very bad bacteria that causes a list of symptoms.  Keeping it in check is the way to stay healthy.

With a candida imbalance, which is just called “candida,” you will not only be inviting illness and disease, you could experience lethargy, joint pain, muscle pain, anxiety, IBS, skin disorders, fungal infections, sleeplessness, weight loss, weight gain and autoimmunity  among other things.  If you are unwell for any reason, cleaning your gut is essential to finding wellness as disease begins in the gut.

If your gut is out of balance and has become sick with candida, getting it healthy is the key to getting well, no matter the illness.   Left untreated, your imbalance will manifest into any number of issues including disease.  Keeping the acid and alkalinity balanced is the start to all things healthy.

You eat all day everyday,

Some of what you eat

Other items are nothing more

See if Your Fibromyalgia Doctor Asks the Right Questions

Capitalizing off sick people is criminal.
If your doctor has not told you that fibromyalgia is not a disease,  you need a new doctor.

Fibromyalgia is classified as an "incurable condition".  If your doctor is throwing pharmaceuticals at it instead of Searching for the Cause, you are in trouble.  It has a cause and that cause varies.

You will never be expected to find wellness if you live by the diagnosis.   Your doctor will get paid until the end and you will suffer for the duration.

Choosing A Medical Professional

Choosing a medical professional usually starts with who your insurance provider will allow.  I suggest you scrap the advice of Big Pharma and your government and do what is best for you.  Your best resources may not be on that list.

In any situation there is good, better and best.  If you are dealing with illness, especially long-term illness, start with the best.  The best is a professional who understands and has experience with your issue.  If you break your leg I would not recommend herbs as a cure, but if you are dealing with the gut, heavy metals or wish to find the source of chronic conditions, I suggest you look beyond traditional Western medicine.

Western Medical Doctor, MD
A typical Western medical doctor has very little understanding of nutritional need and is not schooled in the practice of searching for the cause of illness.  The tools of Western medicine are primarily pharmaceuticals which have highly dangerous side effects and only serve to mask symptoms rather than heal.  There are areas of concern that are completely foreign to this field and very common in other arenas.  Being selective about when to use this protocol is important.  It's value is tremendous, but not always the right choice to find wellness.

Integrative Medicine Medical Doctor, MD
A Western medical doctor that is trained in integrative medicine is one that has learned to use natural healing sources instead of just pharmaceuticals.  This type of training believes in using pharmaceuticals when necessary and natural methods when possible.  Finding a medical doctor who practices integrative medicine and understand metal detoxification can be the perfect fit.

Naturopath ND
Naturopathic medicine is an ancient practice that considers the entire body when healing and not just the symptoms of a condition.  They believe in the balancing of the mind, body and spirit.  A four year degree and licensing is necessary in the United States.

Osteopathic Medicine DO
A doctor of osteopathic medicine has a 4 year undergraduate degree and a 4 year medical degree, like an MD.  They function very similarly to an MD and can prescribe medications, conduct surgeries and function along the same lines.  Osteopaths have extra training in musculoskeletal system which includes the muscle and bones.  A DO is often more interested in alternative treatments like acupuncture, chiropractic and natural healing.

Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Traditional Chinese medicine includes the ancient remedies that use a combination of plant, animal and mineral resources.  Combinations of herbs and healing ingredients are used to stimulate the body’s natural healing power.  Students of Chinese medicine become practitioners though a number of degreed sources and can include acupuncture.

Oriental Medicine Practitioner, DAOM
In the United States, Oriental medicine refers to a graduate level degree that include Chinese medicine with acupuncture.  The 2 year degree program offers a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner
Ayurvedic medicine is the ancient art of healing from India.  It is based on holistic healing and the integration of the mind, body and spirit.   In this practice, a treatment is not official until it has been used at least 5000 times.  This means any treatment provided has a substantial history.  Ayurvedic practitioners understand and treat the body as a whole.  Chinese, Tibetan and Ayurvedic medicine share common beginnings and are infiltrating into traditional medicine professions.

Homeopath Practitioner
Homeopathy is a system that believes “like cures like.”  Treatment offers minute doses of natural substances that in a healthy person would produce symptoms of disease.  The basis is to stimulate and heal the immune system.  Homeopathic methods are not ancient studies and have only been practiced for about 200 years.

Acupuncturist
Acupuncture is a system using fine needles to penetrate the skin to balance the body and remedy issues of health, including mental, physical and emotional healing.  Acupuncture can be very helpful in reuniting and strengthening systems of the body.  This treatment can easily be added to other treatments without interference.  There are degree programs available and a state license is required in the United States.

Nutritionist
Nutritionist determine the nutrients needed to heal a body through foods and supplements. Understanding the nutritional needs of the body is vital to recovery.  This is usually a 4 year degreed professional, but in some areas that is not necessary.

Dr. Hal Huggins Fought Mercury in Dentistry

Others continue the fight to end the casual use of mercury in dentistry.  They too have suffered the losses of licenses and prestige.  Who are they fighting against?

They fight governing agencies that are in
place to protect and serve.

The dangers of mercury are not the conflict.
Greed and gain are the issue.

Symptoms of Fibromyalgia

These are the standard symptoms of fibromyalgia.  If you complain of any of these issues for a few months, you become a candidate for the label  declaring you have  fibromyalgia.

Before you accept that very casual diagnosis, know that each person has developed these symptoms for different reasons.  You do not all have the same disease.  In fact, fibromyalgia is not a disease.  It is a collection of symptoms that have been conveniently grouped together to provide one insurance code that gets a doctor paid and leaves you living on endless pharmaceuticals.
