Hemp Oil Sourcing

Hemp Oil can be legally shipped to all 50 states.
I use this product and recommend it without  financial benefit.

If you have not tried hemp to relieve symptoms of discomfort, you might find it can replace other medications.  A quality hemp oil can be expected to relieve pain, slow bacteria growth, reduce blood sugar levels,  vomiting, nausea. seizures, anxiety, artery blockage, inhibit cell growth in tumors or skin cancers, treat psoriasis, calm the body, suppress muscle spasms, promote bone growth, calm small intestines and protect the nervous system.

Although the hemp plant is in the marijuana family. it does not have the psychoactive qualities of marijuana and will not produce a high.  Drops of the oil are placed under the tongue for absorption.

Although there are many sources, this product is available at www.kbpureessentials.com.  Currently they are able to ship nationwide.

Green Giving Instead of Pink

Every Pink Ribbon Season is an opportunity to talk about more productive places to give to cancer research.  Pink Ribbon sales of products that reinforce raising money for Big Pharma, one of the most corupt and riches industries in the world, is insane.

Who fundraises for an industry to develop drugs that will be resold for enormous profits?          ....Apparently, frightened women in Pink!

Pink Ribbon cancer fundraising campaigns support the normalization of cancer by painting it pink, feminizing it and making it an accepted part of life.  Cancer is not fun, pink or normal.

Corporations who jump on the bandwagon, with or without giving to charity, by plastering pink ribbons on products are targeting women who fear what is presented as inevitable.  They are extorting  your money under the guise of funding the unproductive research of mutilating drugs that bankrupt the sick.   You never hear how many die or are maimed by chemotherapy drugs, they are only touted to be the savior of those who give.

There are alternative organizations targeting natural remedies and  green research. Others are fighting against the toxicity of our manufactured goods and products to reduce carcinogens in daily life which are the breeding ground for cancers.

Make this the year you truly stand up to cancer and say NO to Pink!    If you have warrior tendencies, write some of those corporate sponsors and tell them you will no longer buy Pink Ribbon products.

Stretch your Organic Dollars

Organics cost more.  Newbies to healthy living complain most about the cost in making the switch to cleaner lives.  Price sometimes gets in the way.

The best way to combat price is to use your organics completely.  When you have organic meat bones, they must become bone broth.  Bits of vegetables also become broth or soup.  Ends of bread are your new croutons and bread crumbs.  If you plan on not wasting anything, the investment goes farther.

My more expensive cut of meat, becomes dinner, then $8-$10 worth of bone broth and then the leftovers are processed into smaller pieces or ground for another recipe.

Lead-free lipstick is an important switch.  It will last months longer if the third left in the tube is applied with a lipstick brush.

When it comes to personal care products that come in standing tubes use them till you would normally consider them empty.  Then cut the tube in half and find one to two more weeks of product in the tube.  Replace the perfectly fitting tube top as the cap and there is no mess or inconvenience while you just helped make organic more affordable.

If organics are still too expensive, grow something!

Organic and Fresh Should Mean Just That!

8/9/2016

This is a Foster Farms Organic Chicken Breast sold at a big box store.  The packaging is sealed plastic and there are signs of bloody liquid in the vacuum sealed package.  When you open the package and press on the meat, it gives and separates, showing it’s age.

Quality meat is firm and can maintain its shape with slight pressure.  It does not weep liquids or blood.

Organic should mean more than what Foster Farms represents as quality.  This package and two more just like it went back to the store.   This  is not the first time I’ve returned Foster Farms products, but it is the last as I will not be supporting them again.

Don’t let Corporate America fool you with words.  If the quality is not present, take it back and use your dollars to support companies that want the best for you.

Buy whole, fresh ginger, breaking off what you need
in the store.

Slice it and boil from 15-30 minutes.
The amount you use and the boiling time
will give it its strength.

For weaker tea, use less or boil for a
shorter amount of time.

You can start a second batch
using cuts from the first batch
and adding more slices.

Sweeten healthfully or not at all.
Drink hot or cold.

Anti-inflammatory Cauliflower Salad

8/6/2016

Not on everyone's list of favorites,
 cauliflower works hard
to fortify a body.

Known to be full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, cauliflower has endless benefits. While it boosts your heart and brain health, it aids in detoxifying the body, fighting cancer and reducing inflammation.

This simple salad, which will last several days, gives a double boost of inflammation fighters with turmeric.

Cauliflower Salad

I head cauliflower, steamed lightly
2-4 tablespoons green onions, chopped
2-4 tablespoons raisins

Dressing
2-4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2-4 teaspoons turmeric or curry powder
1-2 tablespoons raw vinegar
1/4-1/2 teaspoon honey or stevia
salt
pepper

Cool the lightly steamed cauliflower and slice or separate into flowerets.  Add chopped green onion and raisins in quantities you will enjoy.

In a separate bowl, whisk mayonnaise, turmeric or curry powder, and vinegar with a very small amount of sweetener.  Add salt and pepper and stir into the cauliflower.

Measurements do not have to be precise, but rather to your own taste.

Cilantro  Dressing

Detox Heavy Metals while  you Fight inflammation and Candida

Picture
Something as simple as salad dressing can help or hinder your body in finding and sustaining wellness.  Switching from bottled dressings, laden with chemicals, poor fats, and sugars, to nutrient dense super foods is not only cost effective, but takes only minutes.  You give up nothing in terms of flavor and feed your body in the process.

This heavy metals detoxifying dressing will help to mobilize and eliminate metals in the body with cilantro.  Cilantro is known to cross the blood-brain barrier and is very helpful in removing metals from the brain and tissue.  If you have another use for the leaves, you can make this dressing from just the stems which makes good use of what otherwise would have been thrown away.  I often substitute parley stems, or add them to the mix, when they are leftover.

Garlic, another powerful metals detoxifier, is added to intensify the clearing of metals while it boosts the immune system.   Adding spices and herbs just increases the healing benefits.  If you are metals poisoned, you are likely  dealing with inflammation, so you may want to include turmeric in your recipe.

The oils you use matter.  You want oils that feed your body and that do not inflame it.  Canola and vegetable oils are heat processed and cause inflammation while being very poor sources of nutrients for the body.  Olive oil, avocado oil and nut oils are rich sources of fuel for the body.  Make sure your oil choice is cold pressed and never heat processed.

If sweetness is something you like in salad dressing, find it in stevia or raw honey.  Using lemon juice or raw vinegar will help preserve your dressing for one to two weeks, if refrigerated.  Using raw vinegar and miso will add to your health benefits by adding probiotics for gut health to your diet.  If you are detoxing metals, your gut is likely suffering.

*Adding cultured yogurt will strengthen gut health by adding probiotics.  It will also make your dressing more creamy.   Your choice of yogurt must be sugar-free, cultured and free of antibiotics and growth hormones for the benefits you need.  Since yogurt is tart you may want a bit more sweetener.

In one jar of homemade dressing you are:

  1. detoxing metals
  2. building your immune system
  3. squelching inflammation
  4. power-packing vitamins, antioxidants and minerals to your diet
  5. fueling your body with oils to nourish the brain
  6. adding probiotics

Cilantro Dressing

1 bunch cilantro, stems and all (or just stems if that is all you have left)
1/3 cup miso (this can be exchanged for oil)
1/3 cup raw vinegar (or lemon juice)
1-2 cloves raw garlic
raw honey or stevia to taste
*1/3 cup cultured yogurt (optional)

Season with salt, pepper, cumin, turmeric, mustard, red pepper flakes, cayanne or any of your favorite herbs or spices.

Puree all ingredients in a food processor, blending on high till smooth.  Pour into a glass jar and store for up to 2 weeks.

This dressing can be used as salad dressing, a sauce for chicken or fish, on an omelette, as a marinade or as a dip.

A Voice to Balance Prescription Drug Ads

Advertising would have you believe that pharmaceuticals are a normal part of life.  They are not and taking them should be a decision you make personally.

This short video will help add some perspective.  Before you decide to take prescription drugs, remembering Aaron's Story might cause you to do some very important research.

There are two things to remember before taking drugs:  1.)  Properly prescribed pharmaceuticals are the 3rd largest killer, following only heart disease and cancer.  2.)  All recalled pharmaceuticals were once approved by the FDA.
