The opportunities for natural healing are endless.  Here are a few ideas that focus on pain and address the symptoms of chronic conditions.


Hemp Oil

Hemp and marijuana are of the same family of plants with slightly different characteristics. Hemp is used to make, among many things, a non-psychoactive CBD oil which is a known healer.   

Hemp CBD oil will not get you high, but it will address many ailments including, pain, inflammation, anxiety, depression and insomnia.   Drops are put under the tongue to be absorbed and then swallowed.  Powerful healing beings in seconds as it is easily absorbed. 

There are topical and food uses as well.  It can be found in lotions and salves for topical use.  The most healing products will have high levels of CBD.  Hemp is currently legal in all 50 states.


Marijuana

Marijuana is cultivated for both THC, the psychoactive component of the plant, and CBD the non-psychoactive component,  The healing properties of marijuana are said to be greater than any pharmaceutical on the market. 

It can be considered as a potential healing agent for any illness.  It is of great value to those who suffer chronic pain and tightened muscles.  The THC component is psychoactive and so, must be used appropriately.  Marijuana will also help with inflammation, anxiety, depression, insomnia and many diseases.  Marijuana remains illegal in many places.


Kava

Kava, or Kava Kava, is a plant root with many healing properties.  It is an anti-inflammatory that soothes muscles and arthritis.  Made into a drink, tincture or cream it relieves stress, anxiety, fatigue and pain.  It also encourages restful sleep.   The white, pulp substance mixes into cloudy drink with water.  The flavor takes some time to appreciate and will lightly numb the mouth and lips temporarily.


Bay Leaf Tea

This tea will do wonders to stop inflammation and pain.  Boiling a few fresh or dried leaves in water is all that needs to happen.  Drinking a full pot or several cups can help reverse the effects of a pain cycle. 

Ginger

Ginger has a number of healing properties of which managing inflammation and pain are two.  You can use ginger in dry spice form or fresh.  Fresh ginger can be used in cooking or made into a tea by just boiling slices in water.  Drinking large quantities give a feeling of cleaning in the system.  It will also reduce muscle pain. fight infection and is both antibacterial and antiviral.


Garlic

Garlic is generally a healing miracle that should be part of every diet.   It is a powerful detoxing agent and immune system strengthener. Garlic provides high doses of copper, calcium, potassium, selenium, magnesium and vitamins C and B6.  You can count on garlic to build the immune system, lower blood pressure, strengthen bones and lower cholesterol.  Garlic should be on hand for any cold, flu or illness.  A fermented version that can be be stored indefinitely, can be used as a natural antibiotic.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is an anti-inflammatory that will boost brain function, help manage colon health and has many healing properties.  It can help with brain fog.

Turmeric

The most familiar use of turmeric is in curry.  It provides that deep yellow or orange color that is known to provide endless healing properties.  Curry is anti-inflammatory and antibacterial.  It assists the liver, gallbladder and stomach and is used as treatment for a number of diseases.  Treating pain is high on its list of qualities.


Licorice, Licorice Tea and Licorice Tincture

The healing properties of licorice will help with gastrointestinal issues, nervousness, anxiety, depression and it soothes pain similarly to aspirin.  It provides energy and relieves some symptoms of fibromyalgia-like pain and chronic fatigue. 

Frankincense Essential Oil

Palsy, tremors, restless leg syndrome, tension and anxiety quiet quickly after inhaling the scent of frankincense.  You can put a drop under the nose or on your chest to inhale the benefits.  Drops on a pillow are effective if symptoms develop during the night.  Frankincense is a very calming scent that connects to the brain and reduces stress.


Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint oil is a fast acting pain reliever.  Rub it on the skin and pain is gone within seconds.  It can also provide relief for gastrointestinal issues.

I do believe that you have answers to the questions that many of us have thought regarding the reason so many people suffer from chronic pain and autoimmune diseases. I feel that I am on the right path. Your guidance toward understanding what my body is trying to tell me, and what to do is so appreciated.
