Cetalkonium Chloride is the main ingredient and it has a lot of bad press. Apparently it is one of those chemicals that is finding it's way into personal products, food products, household cleaners, hand sanitizers and disinfectants. In other words, we are becoming inundated with it as with many other chemicals used to manufacture.
This chemical has the ability to cause a number of side effects and should not be used casually. It is linked to chronic dermatitis, asthma, COPD and causing immune disfunction. With that said, introducing it into the eyes seems an unimaginable risk to take.
Checking the ingredients of what you put into, or on, your body is now your responsibility. Doctors accept that drugs have chemicals, but you have choices and NO is a good answer.
In regard to food, the same applies. You really must understand how poisoning begins and the length of time it can take to manifest. Believing that you can add chemicals in any amounts to the body and not suffer effects, is simply wrong thinking. Chronic conditions that seemingly come from no where are the results. When in doubt...Google it.
