Some of the greatest warriors for our health
are forgotten because they are not high profile machines that take donations
to feed lost causes.
Finding the organizations that represent
your interests takes a little time,
but the rewards are great.
These are a few that suit me and have my support for their on-going, established roles in making health and safety a priority by searching for the cause and NOT just the cure:
EWG or Environmental Working Group has stood strong to protect water, food, consumer products, agriculture, cosmetics and many other areas of needless toxicity. They have forced change in corporate manufacturing, with the government and the FDA. They produce the Skin Deep site that gives the health status of thousands of products. You can learn more about them at ewg.org.
Think Dirty is a website at thinkdirty.com and also an app that you can use to rate product safety before you buy. They have monitized their services by selling products of those manufacturers that they feel are safe and of value to the public.
Breast Cancer Prevention Partners doesn’t dress women up in pink or walk in the streets to support Big Pharma cancer research. They have their sights focused on why cancer is in our lives. They expose the truth about cancer causing agents in our foods, personal care products and more. Find them at bcpp.org.
Breast Cancer Action is found at bca.org. You will find them uninfluenced by the industry standards for breast cancer. Their goal is to give women the truth about treatment, cause and action.
Children’s Health Defense has grown out of Robert Kennedy, Jr.’s World Mercury Project. The same leadership has extended the focus to stop not only the casual use of mercury and dangerous metals, but to protect medical rights and expose truth in our health services. Reach them at childrenshealthdefense.org.
