The truth is that the masking of symptoms might be causing more harm than good. By medicating, we gain the false sense of security that tells us we are getting better because symptoms have been put in check. In reality we have tricked the body into an abnormal state and often reduce its defenses in the doing. Without the symptoms, we ignore what the body actually needs.
Pills do not offer a cure. They can mask the pain, remove the swelling and curb the discomfort, but you don’t heal the source of the problem with pills.
Heart medicine does not cure the heart, it changes the symptoms and regulates the situation. Antacids don't change the health of the gut, they change the symptoms. The same is true of diabetes. The medications offered do not cure the disease. Proper diet and nutrition cure the disease.
Your body is the sole instrument of healing. Supporting the body with what it needs, allows it to heal as designed. In most cases, what it is demanding is not medication, but the power of nutrients to support the process of repairing itself naturally.
So how did we get off track and forget about natural healing? We were trained to forget. We have become addicted to reaching for pharmaceuticals just like we were taught to smoke, through advertising. The marketing has been masterful in making us dependent on pharmaceuticals and irrational about using nature to heal.
Think about what medication is actually doing to you before you indulge. It is a serious decision with consequences. Weighing the negative aspects over the positives is your decision, not your doctor's. Ask questions and choose wisely.
