The opportunities for natural healing are endless.  Here are a few ideas that focus on pain and address the symptoms of chronic conditions.

Hemp Oil

Hemp and marijuana are of the same family of plants with slightly different characteristics. Hemp is used to make, among many things, a non-psychoactive CBD oil which is a known healer.

Craving Sugar and Just Cannot Stop?

When your body craves sugar,
there is a reason.

Again I find myself craving sugar and feeling the painful effects of it.  Every joint aches and the pain is overwhelming, but I cannot stop.  I use what I call the antidotes for sugar inflammation which is usually turmeric, bay leaf tea, peppermint oil as a topical for pain, CBD internally and topically, probiotics, prebiotics and still I’m not able to fight the cravings of sugar.

Then in a quiet moment, I remember.  How could I ever forget?  Cravings for sugar can come from many things, but the fix for me is magnesium and minerals.  The lack of either can cause severe cravings and pain.

I use a liquid form of minerals and a 100% pure spray magnesium oil.  It does not take long for my body to adjust.  When your body is balanced, you can look at sugar and laugh.  It just does not call your name any longer.

If you use bottled or treated water, it is often void of minerals.  The same is true of your food sources.  The vitamin and mineral content can be low even though you eat and live with wellness in mind.

Candida Protocol

Balancing Candida is Fairly Simple

It just takes Change

If you have tested for candida and are ready to clean up your gut, these simple steps can help.  There is no pill for candida which is why Western medicine does not address it often.   Change and an improved diet is what heals the gut.  It’s pretty simple.  If you don’t overfeed candida bacteria, it cannot take over your gut causing chronic pain, illness, inflammation, skin disorders, lethargy, brain fog, infections and more.  See
https://www.searchforthecausenotjustthecure.com/blog/symptoms-and-causes-of-candida

Your goal is to balance the “good” with the “bad” bacteria in the gut.  The truth is, you need both, but we refer to candida overgrown as the “bad” bacteria.  Following the protocol you should notice improvement within one to three weeks.

Some believe they can work on improving gut health a little at a time.  Don’t be fooled.  If you are in a gut crisis, it takes a real counter attack to make a difference.  Cutting down, instead of cutting out sugars will only extend the time necessary to balance your gut.  Candida can live on very little fuel.  Eating 1/2 your normal amount of sugars will not take you to wellness.

If you take medications, have mercury fillings or are detoxing metals, your body has an environment that suits candida growth.  You may have to work more aggressively and find that the delicate balance is difficult to maintain.  You might be managing rather than healing, but the benefits are not lost as candida left out of control can lead to leaky gut syndrome and autoimmune disease.  See www.searchforthecausenotjustthecure.com/blog/your-sexy-gut-is-leaking

Steps to Improving Gut Health

1.  Test
Test your gut before starting and often after you begin the protocol.  You will get to know your body and gut health easily if you do.  The test isn't science, but you will start to see what is feeding your candida.  See

https://www.searchforthecausenotjustthecure.com/blog/candida-testing-at-home

2.  Diet
Zero sugar
Zero flour
No dairy
Limited rice and potatoes work for some.  Your testing will tell you.
Meat
Vegetables
Fruit  Limit fruit as too much fruit can feed candida.  Your testing will tell you.
Whole foods
No processed foods

3. Supplements
Probiotic capsule 1-2 times a day
1-2 Tbls. fermented foods* 3-6 times a day

*Fermented foods contain live cultures that feed “good” bacteria and can include:
raw vinegar
miso
sauerkraut
kimchi
fermented pickles
kombucha
cultured yogurt (no added sugar and no fruit flavors)
See recipes for some fermented foods at

Cutting toxicity in the home
starts under
the sinks...

A major source of household toxicity is under the sink in both the bath and kitchen.  With that said, this quick recipe can cut 50% of the toxicity you invite into your home.  You will be able to delete countertop cleaners, window cleaners, refrigerator cleaners, range cleaners, ant spray and replace harsh cleansers.

The combination of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol make a quick and easy clean up.  The alcohol will cut the smell of vinegar and allow for quicker drying.  With the addition of some essential oil you have created a simple non-toxic, multipurpose cleanser that can be used as a spray or on a mop.

For added abrasive action, sprinkle baking soda on your cleaning project before using the vinegar cleanser.  If you use baking soda on pans and spray you can watch the bubbling action work.

If you prefer, white vinegar alone will do the job.  The rubbing alcohol and essential oils are not necessary.

Recipe:
Vinegar Cleaning Spray

White Vinegar
Rubbing Alcohol
Essential Oil

Mix equal quantities of white vinegar and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle with a few drops of essential oil.

Detoxifying Techniques

We launder our clothes.
We wash our cars.
We maintain things that work for us regularly to keep them in tip top condition,
so why not maintain the body that works for us 24/7 with a little detox?

Your body is designed to detox on it's own, but modern living allows us to overload it with so much toxicity the job can be overwhelming.  That overwhelm can trigger illness and pain that can develop into conditions that are difficult to diagnose.  If you can include some routine detoxifying assists to your lifestyle, you might just give your body the break it needs to keep performing at its best for you.

These remedies were gathered primarily for those metals toxic.  There are many other remedies that are good resources, but it is important to start slowly with whatever you choose.  You are still moving toxicity and it can hurt going in and hurt coming out.  You want to assist your body rather than force change.

Detoxifying Methods:

Garlic
It isn't easy to say a bad word about garlic.  Your body loves it.  Although it does not detox directly, it helps your body create glutathione which is detox-central for the body.  As you age, your body naturally produces less glutathione, so the more garlic, the better.  Glutathione will eliminate heavy metals and toxins from the body.

Colonic
Colonics irrigate the colon and help to evacuate metals and toxins carried in waste.  It is important, to keep the colon clear, so that  you do not reabsorb toxicity back into your body.  Colonic treatments range from from $50 to $100 and are often sold in series of multiple treatments.  These are extremely helpful during detoxing and the feeling of well being is almost immediate.  Garlic, wheatgrass or coffee are often added to colonics for increased benefits as these ingredients are absorbed by the body and promote healing.

Ionic foot bath
The concept of the ionic foot that is that the ion mechanism is able to draw out toxicity, including metals, and cleanse organs.  There is a lot of controversy over the true efficacy of these baths, but those who feel better afterward will tell you they are worth the investment.  Treatments cost about $50 and a machine plus supplies can be purchased for about $300.

Coffee enema
Coffee enemas are very helpful as they help to clear the liver.  This can be done in conjunction with a colonic or at home.  Caffeinated coffee should be used.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese healing treatment that can assist with not only detoxing, but with benefits of detoxing and rebalancing the body.

Cupping
Cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy that involves pulling toxins to the surface through a series of suction cups on the skin.

Dry Brushing
Dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic drainage system, which is “waste management” for the body and so helps to dispose of toxins through the circulatory system.  This is easily done at home and the benefits are felt immediately.

Using a soft, dry natural bristle brush, like a bath brush, brush the body with the flow of the lymph system.  Starting at the feet, lightly brush up and into the heart center in the middle of the chest.  Do this also for the mid-section, from hands to the heart center and for the head and back areas.

It is a good idea to include the jaw line from the ears to the chin and down to the heart center since the jaw line is also a disposal channel from the brain.  If you are having TMJ symptoms this can help by relieving any backed up waste from the mouth or head.  If you do not have a brush available the fingertips work fine with light flowing movement.  You can also find massage therapists who specialize in lymphatic massages.

Infrared Sauna
Infrared heat will help the body to detox through sweat glands.  Saunas are helpful, but don’t overdue.  You are moving toxins and you can feel ill if you do too much or too fast for the body to manage.

Massage
Massage will help to detox by rejuvenating the waste systems.  It can also temporarily relieve many of the symptoms of  toxicity.  Lymphatic massage is a massage dedicated to the lymphatic system and to revitalizing it so that waste particles move smoothly and do not get clogged.  It is very helpful, but not done by all massage therapists.

Castor Oil Pack
A pack can be made of caster oil by putting a teaspoon or more on the skin above the liver and covering it with a cotton washcloth or wool cloth.   Heat with a heating pad for one hour.  You can also use it on sore or inflamed areas to reduce plain and inflammation.  You can modify how you use castor oil and can sleep with it overnight.  The heating pad is not a necessity, but will speed the process.  Castor oil speeds up the movement of the lymphatic system and promotes healing with rapid detoxification.

Epsom Salt Baths
Baths help detox and sooth symptoms of toxic poisoning even when metals toxicity is involved.  Adding epsom salts increases the detoxing qualities and mineralizes the body.  Soaking for at least 20 minutes is usually recommended.

Yoga
The poisoned body tends to get stiff and weak.  It benefits greatly from motion that is gentle and stretching.  Gentle yoga provides the release of muscles and strengthening to a body that is not always available for vigorous, cardio exercise.  Yoga will also give balance to the mind and body and provide great stress relief.  Since stress exacerbates pain, yoga is the perfect remedy for maintaining body agility and focusing the mind.

Meditation
Meditation will calm the soul and allow more complete healing while reducing stress.  It does not have to be formal or taught.   Even taking five to ten deep breaths throughout the day, will serve to remind you to slow down and bring healing oxygen into your body.  If you remember to breath deeply every time you wash your hands, you create a very useful habit. Stress exacerbates pain.

Exercise
Some type of exercise consisting of gentle movement is a must.  Toxic bodies tend to lose strength and balance from inactivity.   Muscles tighten and become restrictive.  Pain is magnified in muscles that do not move.  Releasing them takes movement that also stimulates the circulatory system.

Overzealous exercise can release too many toxins and will leave a body sick and depleted. It can   take days to recover from too much exercise.  Know your limits, push those limits and respect your limits.

Charcoal
Food grade charcoal is often used as a detoxifier.  It can be found in powder or capsules.

Betonite Clay
Bentonite clay can be used to pull toxins out of the intestines.  It should be taken with plenty of water.  Clay applied to the skin will pull toxins out as well.  Cover the skin with a wet mixture of clay and allow it to dry before washing.

Bay leaf tea is a great inflammation fighter. It can be especially helpful if you have indulged in foods known to be inflammatory.  If you suffer from chronic pain, the investment in a plant is worth the cost of $10-$12.

To make bay leaf tea take a handful of organic bay leaves, fresh or dried, add boiling water and steep for 15-20 minutes.  For a more potent tea, crush leaves before adding water or boil leaves for 15-20 minutes.   Add a healthy sweetener, like stevia, and serve.

Bay leaves can be used in cooking fresh or dried.   Burning dried leaves will fill the room with a relaxing, organic fragrance.

Homemade Deodorant Recipe

Giving up aluminum laden anti-perspirants
in favor of cleaner products
will take out a chunk of your daily toxic load immediately.

Aluminum is a ubiquitous material, found in our soil, air and water supplies naturally.  That does not mean it is good for your body.  In fact, we know with certainty that aluminum leaves a trail of illness.

The problem is that aluminum has now infiltrated manufacturing, vaccines, medicines, antacids, antiperspirant, cosmetics and our food supply via processing, frozen meal trays, foil and cans.  With so much casual access to sources of aluminum, we need to take a look at our exposure and limit what we can limit.

Problem #1 is antiperspirant.  All antiperspirants contains aluminum, a known neurotoxin.  You faithfully apply it to your underarm which houses your lymph nodes giving easy access to your circulatory system.  Your skin absorbs  the aluminum along with the product and any other chemicals it holds.  When there is more toxicity than the body can safely detox, it will be stored in the body which is a recipe for illness somewhere is your future.

The quick fix is easy.  Just stop using antiperspirant, but the change is not seamless.
We've gotten used to being sweat-free and deodorant just will not do what a toxic product can do when it comes to keeping you dry, so you have to choose.  If you can get used to sweating naturally a homemade deodorant  will keep you odor free and that is a really easy start to cleaning up your body.

Homemade Deodorant Recipe
1 part Baking Soda
1 part Corn Starch, GMO-free
Essential oil to scent, if desired

Mix completely and store in a glass jar.
You can apply with a generous brush or use a shaker top.

Do You Poison Your Children because Everyone Else Does?

All of these products make bugs unhappy.  Why would you disregard the chemical warnings and put those that are most harsh on your skin?  Your skin, and the skin of your child, are the body's largest organ.  It absorbs without discretion.  What it absorbs must be processed by your liver.  The side effects might not manifest for years, but you won't get away with poisoning yourself without some backlash.
