Toxicity in a coffee maker? Apparently it is not so uncommon. I consider myself to be extremely careful about consuming poisons after nearly 40 years of dealing with metals toxicity, but when it came to buying a coffee maker I went right back to my old habits, never considering toxicity. Although I did do extensive research, health was not a consideration until a savvy friend reminded me about the plastic parts in coffee makers and the dangers they can hold. Even with the reminder, I failed to do the right research.
I bought a $300 unit, hoping for the best when it came to the use of plastic parts. As soon as I opened the box I found a California Proposition 65 warning inside.. If you are not from California you might not have heard of Proposition 65 and even if you are from California it may mean little to you. Prop. 65, as it is called, involves higher standards for products and materials than the FDA requires. This means that the amounts of poisons and toxicity is reduced if goods are sold in the State or it must carry a warning. It is law only in California, but because manufacturers do not want to produce two types of goods, they often upgrade or tag all of their goods to comply with California law. The Prop. 65 warning on my new coffee maker says out loud, “Buy at Your Own Risk.” Even though the FDA thinks you will be fine, the State of California does not. Meeting California requirements does not mean that the item is non-toxic. It means only that the levels of toxicity for California are lower than federal regulations. The warning itself tells you that the product exceeds even California limits. Truthfully, neither set of regulations will keep you as safe as it should. So what does the warning apply to in the world of coffee makers? It is yet, unknown. I wrote the manufacturer to ask precisely what aspect of the machine do not comply with California law. It is not easy to get an answer to such a question and will likely take days or weeks for a response. If you go this route, the response needs to be in writing. If you are told that the manufacturer complies with all FDA regulations, you are in trouble. That is completely unsatisfactory and to a metals contaminated person, that answer is as good as a no. Instead of waiting for the response, I’m making the grown up decision to return my luxury coffee maker because my health is a priority. After years of illness, why would I intentionally put 2 to 4 cups of poison into my body each and every day? If you are shopping, consider a few of these highlights of the decision making process. All plastic parts contain toxicity. This includes those plastic pods for single cup coffee makers. Many will say they are BPA free and that is good because BPA is a known carcinogen. The problem is that BPA was replace with a formula change and who knows what is in the replacement. Heating plastic allows the toxicity to leach, so 180 degrees on plastic every day of your life might not be a great idea…even though everyone else is doing it. Another concern is aluminum. There is really no aluminum product that is fit for food service. That includes aluminum foil and cans. You are just giving Alzheimer’s the greatest of opportunities. Then there is the issue of bacteria that can grow in coffee makers. It never occurred to me, but it did to my savvy friend who knew that water lines can grow mold. Then there are all of those dark, warm and wet spots that can easily harbor bacteria. As it turns out there are studies that say your coffee pot and your bathroom might tie for bacteria growth. Finally, there is coffee itself. You really don’t need a dose of pesticide each and every day even if you are the picture of health. Organic beans are the start of a safe cup of coffee. The options seem to be stainless steel and lead-free glass. That means pour over models, presses and percolators. No bells. No whistles. I put this in front of you because You are a healer and you are learning to heal yourself. Sometimes we wonder what this nightmare of metals poisoning or chronic illness is all about. That I cannot answer, but I do know that you are chosen to understand and to make change. Undoing illness can be an ugly road, but if you can see the big picture and know that you will be different, even magnificent, when it is over, it may be worth the journey. You will never be the same. Make it what you will. Chlorpyrifos: It's on your food and you don't know it because growers are not mandated to disclose poison while organic growers have a higher standard. It's curious that the US subsidies are available for these kinds of poisons to be used. You can easily find this poison used on your corn, soybeans, nuts, Brussels sprouts, cranberries, broccoli, cauliflower and on golf course turf among other things. The long-term damage to humans is unknown and disregarded. Here is what the EPA has to say about it. "Using Chlorpyrifos Products Safely The current chlorpyrifos labels require workers handling and applying chlorpyrifos to wear additional personal protective equipment (chemical resistant gloves, coveralls, respirators), and restricting entry into treated fields for 24 hours up to five days. Chlorpyrifos can cause cholinesterase inhibition in humans at high enough doses; that is, it can overstimulate the nervous system causing nausea, dizziness, confusion, and at very high exposures (e.g., accidents or major spills), respiratory paralysis and death." It should enrage you as a US taxpayer to know that you subsidize the use of poison. We’re humans. We’ve learned to love the easy fix. When it comes to diets it’s quite attractive to learn that you can trick your body into losing weight in a number of ways, but don’t forget, new diets sell books. Books make money. Weight loss is an industry and just like everything else, it’s all about marketing. Keep hold of your common sense when you decide to find a diet that suits you.
Diets that restrict the basics of fruits and vegetables should frighten you. These are the building blocks of your body. When you deny your body the ability to refuel, it will find any resources stored in your body to utilize. That can mean pulling from muscle and tissue to fulfill your needs to operated smoothly. The earth was meant to provide food for the body. Look to food in its whole and natural state for your best resources. Vegetables, fruits, fish and animal protein when organic cannot be improved by adding poisons, antibiotics, by processing or boxing. Try an earth diet. Pain, inflammation and disease feast on chemicals and poisons. If you are attempting to clean up your life and clean up your body, knowing these two simple online resources will be a big help. Using these tools to find personal care products that are cleanest will help relieve your body of the toxicity load it is forced to detox each and every day.
EWG.org, and it’s sub-group Skin Deep, is a research group that delves into product safety, metals, water safety, healthy homes, healthy diets and many other areas that will help you stay safe. They rate products from 1-10 and you can easily see where to cut back on poisons. Think Dirty is an app that offers manufacturers the opportunity to partner with them and present safe product to you. It can read barcodes on 1,738,070 products. This allows you to choose shampoo, hair color, cosmetics, hand sanitizers, sunscreen, baby products, nail polish and cleaning supplies that register as low as zero in toxicity rather than commercial products that easily climb to ten. Making the switch to clean products is more of a journey than a line in the sand. You learn as you go and slowly your life cleans up. What you will find for sure is that clean products are different. They don’t seem usual, but once you learn to love them, there is no going back. You will also find that scents and lathering are very different. The chemicals that create those elements are usually highly toxic. Lastly, you should not expect your new products to last years and years in the cupboard. Clean products are not laden with the chemicals that make them shelf stable for extended periods. Instead they feed your body through your skin and scalp which means the freshness is important. Yes we live in a toxic world and yes this is just one small way to improve conditions for your body, but why not? Once you know, the responsibility to stop the casual use of poison in your life, for your own body, for others and for the earth in general is now your responsibility. So When They Quit Adding Parabens, What Did They Replace it With? Remember when BPA in plastic drinking products became public news? There was a mad rush by marketing experts to solve the problem of a cancer causing agent in your food. The quickest way to accomplish that dilemma was to reformulate slightly and change the name to BPS. Problem solved for manufacturers, but not so for consumers. The new re-marketing of personal care products spills "paraben-free" on labels and usually adds something organic or an essential oil to make you believe the product has only your health and safety in mind. So what is replacing dangerous parabens as they leave the scene? The new "no paraben" additives are often being replaced casually by PHENOXYETHANOL. Is it safer? Who knows. It does have known dangers and is discussed as being connected to reproductive damage, brain issues and disruptions to the nervous system. Like most dangerous elements, the government entities that you trust have little to say about the dangers and few regulations. They mention problematic issues, but rely on any one body only coming in contact with small doses. The problem is that the use is now too wide spread to count on being only slightly affected. Your skin absorbs into your body and daily use of several of these additives can be harmful. They are like fertilizer for future illness. A little bit of poison in a lot of personal care products adds up to trouble. Because phenoxyethanol is used as a perservative, you will find it in many shampoos, cosmetics and lotions. Unfortunately, you will also find it in items claiming to be natural. This means reading every item on a label is the only way to find truly clean products. If you aren't curious enough to research anything you don't understand, you can use the "If I can't pronounce it, I don't buy it" method. Adding to the winding road to discovery you will find this product under many names. You may see it listed by these and more. HYDROXYETHYL PHENYL ETHER, 2-PHENOXY- ETHANOL, 2-PHENOXYETHANOL, 2-PHENOXYETHYL ALCOHOL, ETHANOL, 2-PHENOXY-, ETHANOL, 2PHENOXY,ETHYLENE GLYCOL MONOPHENYL ETHER, PHENOXYETHANOL, and PHENOXYTOL ... Candida, when recognized, is usually thought to be an adult issue, but it can be present in children as young as infants. Diet is the usual fix, healing from the inside out rather than treating a number of random symptoms with drugs. Candida can show itself in children as colic hives, eczema, thrush, constipation, diarrhea, recurring diaper rash, recurring ear infections, fatigue, gas, bladder infections, vaginal infections and even symptoms of ADHD. Adults can have similar symptoms, but recognize candida more commonly as chronic fatigue, sugar cravings, nail infections, autoimmune disorders, inability to focus, allergies, depression, anxiety, irritability and mood swings. Most of these symptoms are diagnosed as other conditions, but many can be solved by clearing the gut of candida overgrowth. After years of a candida controlling diet and trying new products for systemic candida, I was believing that candida symptoms might just be part of life, especially if heavy metals are part of the equation. When Dr. Rydland's Candida Yeast Herbal Formula was recommended it sounded like just one more thing to try, but I found it has great possibilities. I say possibilities because every body is different and it seems that timing is everything. This formula was right for me, at the time. Candida is tricky, it mutates and so, not all yeast is the same and not all remedies work for everyone, but this one is worth a mention. I personally had great success with the product. Dr. Rydland's Candida Yeast Herbal Formula is made of simple ingredients like garlic, black walnut, barks and roots. It is GMO-free, soy-free, gluten-free and dairy-free. It is formulated for dosing to children as young as one month and five pounds, yet, it is still effective for adults. Newer material in on the bottom of this collection. Virus Information is Being Censored Believe it or not, there is more than one opinion about the 2020 virus situation. Traditional news agencies report only one point of view which is reasonable when 90% of the advertising dollar in the US television marketplace is paid Big Pharma. You never bite the hand that supplies the cash. Social media has also stepped in to remove and, refuse to allow anything they don't personally want heard. Apparently what you cannot do is say that immunization may not be the way out of this, that masks might be the wrong choice, that Bill Gates might be dangerous or that parts of what we are being taught is not truth. I'm posting what I can here so that we preserve some freedoms. I post them not to change your mind for you, but to provide a platform where you can gather information to make up your own mind. (NOTE: The included videos were censored and removed by YouTube.) The Dr. Judy Mitcovich video, Plandemic, has been continuously removed from platforms like Facebook and YouTube. You can watch it at https://plandemicvideo.com. This video has been banned over and over for not agreeing with the news media. Decide for yourself, knowing that your right to opinions is being limited. This video is Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai who tells you what you can do to boost your own immunity to all disease. Apparently, this concept is out of bounds for traditional medicine, Big Pharma or television news. Dr. Shiva is running for US Senate. Federal and OSHA recommendations say the Mask does not protect and is not mandatory. Video censored and removed. Dr. Gold on Hydroxychloroquine |
